Gausta Skisenter closed for the season

Latest updated 20 April 2020 at 7.30 pm

On March 13, Gausta Skisenter closed all its facilities following a decision from the Norwegian authorities. Now the Norwegian authorities are starting to ease the restrictions; the so-called “cab ban” is lifted and necessary trips to cabins are allowed. In this regard, we have been in close talks with the local authorities about the possibilities of reopening the ski resort.

The assessment is that the Gausta Skisenter falls under the national ban that applies to fitness centers, amusement parks, water parks and other similar facilities (in accordance with section 14c of the Covid-19 regulation). We will therefore keep Gausta Skisenter closed for the rest of the winter season.

We are sorry for this, but like the rest of society we want to help prevent the spread of infection and curb the ongoing pandemic.

We want to thank all our visitors and staff for this winter season and welcome you back to the next winter season, starting in the fall of 2020. We will do our best to prepare well for the next year and we will do everything we can to make the next winter season the best winter season ever!

But first we have a summer. And if it goes as we hope, we will have a fantastic summer at Gausta and our amazing mountain Gaustatoppen.

Thank you for all the understanding during these challenging times. Take good care of each other and we hope to be able to welcome you here soon again! ❤️
