Discover the fun and challenging snow park at Gausta Skisenter. The snow park is built in snow with jumps, rails and boxes, and is equally suitable for snowboarding, skiing and twin tips.
Gausta Skisenter has a snow park located in the Hovdestaul area in the western part of Gausta, right next to the restaurant Bygget (see piste map). The park offers challenges for both beginners and advanced riders. In the park there are several different lines in different difficulty levels. Here, skiers and snowboarders of all ages and levels get outlets for play and action among jumps, rails and boxes. You get to the park via lift M, Parkheisen.
The former snow park at Gaustablikk, will unfortunately be removed this year as part of several measures for infection control in the ski resort. We must take into account more space around the bottom stations on the lifts to maintain a distance of 1 meter between guests and thus good infection control. The park was too close to the bottom station of the Skipsfjell lift to satisfy the requirement for good infection control.
To be able to maintain a high level of safety it is important that everyone who uses the parks follow the same rules. Remember to be aware of your surroundings, show consideration to others, only stay in places where you are visible to other riders and stay on your line. If you try the park for the first time, or you haven’t been to the park for a while, make sure you ride slowly so you have time to look out for any obstacles or changes. Also, be sure to report to the staff if something in the park needs to be fixed, and always call on staff in the event of an accident.
The better rider you are, the more fun you’ll have. Gausta ski school offers lessons for park and free riding for all ages and levels.
