At Gausta Skisenter there are two fun and challenging snow parks built in snow with jumps, rails and boxes. The parks are equally suitable for snowboarding, skiing and twin tips.
The new snow park at Gaustablikk is located in east part of Gausta and is new from February 2019. The park is built with the design from Kim Daniel who has a background as a snowboarder – and now design parks in mainly Sweden and Norway.
In the park you will find everything from boxes to rails, jumps and spines. The parks are suitable for both beginners and experienced skiers. To get to the park you can take lift B, Skipsheisen.
Gausta Skisenter has two snow parks, one in the eastern area at Gaustablikk Høyfjellshotel and one at the western area at Hovdestaul (see piste map). In the parks there are several different lines in different difficulty levels. Here, skiers and snowboarders of all ages and levels get outlets for play and action among jumps, rails and boxes.
Gausta’s first snow park is located in the Hovdestaul area in the western part of Gausta, right next to the restaurant Bygget. This park also offers challenges for both beginners and advanced riders. You get to the park via lift M, Parkheisen.
To be able to maintain a high level of safety it is important that everyone who uses the parks follow the same rules. Remember to be aware of your surroundings, show consideration to others, only stay in places where you are visible to other riders and stay on your line. If you try the park for the first time, or you haven’t been to the park for a while, make sure you ride slowly so you have time to look out for any obstacles or changes. Also, be sure to report to the staff if something in the park needs to be fixed, and always call on staff in the event of an accident.
The better rider you are, the more fun you’ll have. Gausta ski school offers lessons for park and free riding for all ages and levels.
