About the role:
At Gaustablikk Fjellresort, we take great pride in offering excellent hospitality and a first-class guest experience. As a receptionist at Gaustablikk, you are one of our most important employees in interacting with our guests. You’ll be part of a dedicated team, so being a good team player who is flexible and works well with others is essential.
Your duties will include checking guests in and out, managing daily routines, handling cash, and providing excellent service to our guests. You will also answer inquiries via phone and email, keeping an eye on the lobby to ensure that guests feel at home in Gaustablikk’s "living room."
Your mission is to provide the best possible service to our guests. You must be attentive to their requests and anticipate their needs. Humor, joy, and openness are also key to making each day better for our guests.
The position involves:
- Providing excellent customer service and offering information about the destination to ensure our guests have a stay that meets, and exceeds, their expectations.
- Working primarily on weekends and during holidays. Being on-call as needed.
- Answering incoming inquiries through multiple channels, primarily via email and phone.
- Ensuring communication and interactions with guests align with the values of Gaustablikk and Gausta.
- Contributing to a good dialogue with other departments, such as booking, marketing, conference, restaurant, and kitchen.
About you:
Because you love service, you enjoy being on the front lines, making sure we fill the hotel in the best way possible, depending on the type of guests we are welcoming. You are eager to assist our guests, young and old, with any kind of question.

Desired qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian (or another Scandinavian language) and English, as well as a good understanding of the other Scandinavian languages.
- Experience in customer service and guest relations.
- Experience in sales and support, reception, and/or call centers.
- Experience with booking systems, CRM systems, or other customer/guest management software is an advantage.
- A good understanding of the bigger picture and the ability to acquire new knowledge and information.
- Strong digital skills and familiarity with booking systems; a willingness to learn new ones (we use the VisBook booking system – knowledge of this is an advantage but not required).
- As a person, we want you to be conscientious and service-oriented, solution-driven, structured, and responsible.
- Interested in delivering a great customer/guest experience.
- Detail-oriented but efficient.
