The same name, the same wonderful atmosphere – but a new concept. This is what the plans look like for when Bygget opens its doors for the winter season.
The restaurant at Hovdestaul is opening ahead of the 2019/2020 winter season as usual, but with new chefs, a new menu and a new concept. The restaurant is opening its doors on Friday the 13th of December.
The restaurant group Brynstålet, which includes both Restaurang Break and Restaurang Knarrholmen in its portfolio, is behind the new concept. Together with W8 Hotel Design Group, it has developed a concept that is unique to Gausta. The group is aiming high as it is now venturing into the mountains.
– The watchwords for the concept are simple, tasteful, presence and flexibility. Naturally we are proud to be entrusted with an assignment that we’ve not done outside of Sweden before, says Johan Kylfält, restaurateur and part owner of Brynstålet.
A new menu has been introduced which includes both classics and dishes with a twist.
– Of course there will be a burger on the menu, but there’ll also be a prime rib chilli and whitefish roe waffle. And an evening menu, says Johan.
Although food is the focus of Bygget’s new concept, the restaurant will still offer après ski for all of its guests.
– There’ll be après ski on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. At first more during the peak season, says Johan.
The high pace of development in Gausta means that the restaurateurs are optimistic about the future.
– We’re looking forward to the winter and we hope to make this first season really good. Naturally we’ll listen to our guests and take on board what they want to see in future, concludes Johan.
