This summer, curious kids and fun-seeking young adults can try their hand at biking on a pump track at our new track at Gausta. The track is part of the Gausta Bike Arena and is the first stage of a three-year investment in cycling at Gausta.
A pump track is a kind of bike track or bike park where you use a pumping motion to propel the bike instead of pedaling. It’s a fun activity for developing your balancing abilities and learning skills, and it’s great for all ages and capabilities.
Bikes may need to be pushed up before starting, and smaller kids may need a helping hand. Remember that children may use the track only under the supervision of an adult.
Gausta’s pump track is around a hundred meters long. It starts next to the big screen at Hotellbakken, right next to Sport’n, and ends at the parking lot below.
For those who are looking for a slightly larger and more challenging course, the pump truck outside Gausta Showroom is recommended. Please make sure the kids don’t bike out on the road next to the pump track.
Bikes can be rented at Sport’n, next to Gaustablikk. Bike rentals are free for children under the age of 7. A helmet is included in the price.
Cycle safely and follow the rules, so everyone can enjoy:
